Guard[arte] begins with a simple gesture: a child’s drawing.

Drawn with intention rather than technique, children’s drawings have a unique honesty. A house may float above the ground, a portrait may have uneven arms, a heart may sit in the middle of the page simply because that is where it belongs.

Their value does not lie in perfection, but in the meaning they carry.

Guard[arte] was created to preserve these gestures and give them permanence.

Starting from a drawing shared by you, the original artwork is carefully prepared and transformed into two complementary pieces: a minimalist print and an engraved medal.

THE PROJECT

Guard[arte] is a collaboration between RIMA lab and Raquel Poço Jewellery, bringing together two ways of preserving a gesture.

At its core is the transformation of a drawing into an artwork. RIMA lab carefully prepares the original drawing so it can exist as a print, preserving its richness, detail and character.

From that same gesture, Raquel Poço Jewellery engraves the drawing into a medal, allowing it to be worn and kept close to the body.

GUARD[ARTE] PRINT

The Guard[arte] Print preserves a child’s drawing in its most complete and expressive form.

Set within a soft, neutral composition, the line remains raw and honest, carrying the energy of the original gesture. This careful treatment gives the piece a contemporary feel, allowing it to sit naturally within any space, making it both personal and quietly aesthetic.

Each print is finished with a discreet caption, naming the moment and its author.

HOW IT WORKS

Available through our website.

2. Send us your drawing and details

Email your drawing to hello@rimalab.pt. A scanned version is preferred, but a clear, flat photograph will also work.

Please include your order number in the subject line.

In the email body, include the title of the artwork and the name of the artist [the child].

3. Drawing preparation

Your drawing is carefully reviewed and prepared, preserving its original character while adapting it for print.

4. Print production

The drawing is transformed into a minimalist print, maintaining its detail and presence as an artwork.

5. Delivery

Your Guard[arte] print will be delivered within a maximum of 10 business days.

The Guard[arte] Necklace transforms a child’s drawing into something that can be carried with you.

Each piece begins with an original gesture, carefully adapted to be engraved in metal. To ensure the best result, the drawing may be slightly simplified, always with the intention of preserving its essence. The engraving is done by hand, giving each medal a unique and tactile presence.
